Kick-off for the “Green Dettmannsdorf” project

Green light for “Green Dettmannsdorf”! The municipality of Dettmannsdorf (Vorpommern-Rügen district) has taken an important step towards a sustainable future. The municipal council passed the resolutions to establish the “Green Dettmannsdorf” project.
This marks the start of concrete planning for renewable energy generation facilities. The project includes, among other things, four new designated areas with wind and photovoltaic plants, which will be combined with battery storage. A milestone that the East Energy Group has worked intensively on together with the municipality, landowners and regional partners.
“A big thank you to everyone involved for their trust and constructive cooperation. We look forward to the next steps,” says Dirk Petschick, CEO of the East Energy Group.
The key points of “Green Dettmannsdorf”:
Four new special areas for "Renewable Energies" in Dettmannsdorf, Dammerstorf and Dudendorf with wind and photovoltaic projects,
up to 21 modern wind turbines (138.5 MW) and over 240 MWp of PV capacity – combined with battery storage solutions (BESS),
Citizen and community participation: Approximately €1.5 million in annual revenue from wind energy investments, plus over €530,000 from PV yields.
Transparent information and fact checks on the environment, noise, shadows and nature conservation with a clear objective: sustainable energy generation with the best possible protection of people, animals and landscape.
Our vision: The revived "Baltic Distillery" in Dettmannsdorf will extract biogenic CO2 from residual materials and convert it into methanol. Supplemented by wind and solar power, community-owned electricity tariffs, and a district heating network, the aim is to create a self-sufficient "energy island" in the municipality, combining regional economic development and climate protection. "With this project, we, together with the municipality of Dettmannsdorf, the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Energy and Climate Protection Agency (LEKA MV), and all project partners, are taking another step towards energy independence, regional economic development, and climate protection," emphasizes Petschick.
