East Energy Group and Zelestra start construction of photovoltaic park Detershagen

A photovoltaic park with a capacity of 38.5 megawatt peak (MWp) is being built in Detershagen (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern).
The plant will produce approximately 40.200 megawatt hours (MWh) of clean energy.
The construction will create around 55 jobs on site; full commissioning is planned for Q2 2027.
Rostock/Detershagen/Berlin , September 16, 2026 – The East Energy Group and Zelestra are consistently continuing their course of developing renewable energy plants. Following the completion of the Klevenow “Pommerndreieck” photovoltaic plant in mid-2026 with a nominal output of 27.4 MWp, another photovoltaic project in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is now taking shape.
Together with its parent company Zelestra, East Energy is building a photovoltaic park with a nominal output of 38.5 MWp in Detershagen (Rostock district). The plant near Kröpelin will consist of approximately 62.000 solar modules and is expected to generate more than 40,200 MWh of clean energy annually.
Savings of 13.300 tons of CO₂ annually
“With the start of construction on the PV park in Detershagen, we are taking the next major step in realizing our renewable energy projects. My thanks go to the city and municipal representatives, authorities, all partners, and our team who have worked towards the planning and approval of this project,” said Dirk Petschick, CEO of the East Energy Group.
The generation of renewable energy will save approximately 13.300 tons of CO₂ emissions annually. To effectively utilize electricity from renewable sources and relieve pressure on the grid, the construction of a green energy storage facility is planned at the same location, which, pending approval, will also be built next to the substation.
Commissioning of the PV park is planned for Q2 2027
“The start of construction in Detershagen is another important step for Zelestra in Germany. Following the commissioning of Klevenow, this project demonstrates the pace at which we are expanding our project pipeline in the country. We look forward to commissioning it later this year, together with our first German BESS project,” said Mathias Künicke, CEO of Zelestra.

The construction of the Detershagen solar park will create approximately 55 jobs locally. The plant is scheduled to be fully operational by Q2 2027.
